Jeep ducking is a cherished tradition rooted in the camaraderie of World War II soldiers who personalized their Willys MB and Ford GPW vehicles, some adorning them with rubber ducks for luck or as a comforting reminder of home. After the war, veterans carried the tradition into civilian life, and it gradually evolved into a gesture of kindness among Jeep owners.

In 2020, Allison Parliament from Canada gave it new life by founding Duck Duck Jeep after a horrific experience, turning it into something positive. Much like the iconic Jeep Wave, Jeep ducking fosters a sense of community among enthusiasts, with owners surprising fellow Jeepers by leaving rubber ducks on their vehicles. Celebrated through social media and Jeep gatherings, this simple act of goodwill brings people together, reminding us to embrace small moments of kindness—one wave, one duck, and one smile at a time.
